Food Tour: Saturday Night Culinary Experience

After an eventful Friday night, Saturday brought a needed day of relaxation. The GF and I ventured down to Twelve Oaks to do a little Spring Break shopping (we are heading to Florida-I have never been). We were accompanied by my cousin/friends Josh and Julie.

Now comes the fun part. After a few hours at the mall, we decided to get some food…and so began our Food Tour (or so it appeared on my twitter log). We decided to try Tomato Brother’s in Howell, MI, but there was a wait. Earlier in the day, we had talked about possible getting some teppanyaki at Bennihana’s or Katana (S/O Matt!), but they were booked. And so we decided to just continue on home and eat at Ukai (the Lansing one, not the Okemos one…personal preference)

It was a nice time there and we got (in my opinion) the best teppanyaki chef of the lot. Every time we cheered/clapped/he did something funny, he put on this funny smirk. GREAT CULINARY EXPERIENCE.
